The Court decided 112 criminal procedure cases between 2000 and 2009. The Court sided with the defendant in 30 cases and voted for the prosecution 82 times. Between 2000 and 2004, the defendants won 19 cases and lost 49. Between 2005 and 2009, the defendants won only 11 of 44 cases.
The Court decided 48 criminal procedure cases won by the defendants below, affirming 10 times and reversing in 38 cases. Between 2000 and 2004, the defendants won only six of twenty-eight such cases. Between 2005 and 2009, defendants won only four of twenty defendants’ wins.
The Court decided 64 criminal procedure cases lost by the defendants below. The Court reversed 20 of those decisions while affirming 44 times. Between 2000 and 2004, the Court reversed in 13 of 40 cases. Between 2005 and 2009, the Court reversed in seven of 24 cases.
