Justice Kruger has participated in 35 criminal sentencing cases since joining the Court.  She has voted for defendants in 15 of those cases and against defendants 20 times.

Ten of those 35 cases were won by defendants below.  Justice Kruger has voted to affirm in six of those ten cases.

The remaining 25 cases were lost by defendants at the Court of Appeal.  Justice Kruger voted to reverse, in whole or in part, in nine of those cases and voted to affirm 16 times.

Justice Groban has participated in three criminal sentencing cases since joining the Court.  He voted for defendants in one of those three cases.  Justice Groban voted to reverse the only defense win from the Court of Appeal, and split his votes – once to reverse, once to affirm – in the two cases lost by defendants below.

Join us next time as we begin our review of the Justices’ voting records in a new civil area of law.
