Justice Kruger has participated in 35 criminal sentencing cases since joining the Court. She has voted for defendants in 15 of those cases and against defendants 20 times.
Ten of those 35 cases were won by defendants below. Justice Kruger has voted to affirm in six of those ten cases.

Since joining the Supreme Court, Justice Kruger has participated in 29 criminal procedure cases. She has voted for defendants in 13 cases and against them the remaining 16 times.

Since joining the Court in 2015, Justice Kruger has participated in 20 criminal constitutional law cases. She has evenly split her votes – 10 for defendants, 10 against.
Only five of these cases were won by defendants below. Justice Kruger voted to affirm two of those defendants’ wins and voted to reverse three times.

Like Justice Cuellar, Justice Kruger has participated 40 civil procedure cases since joining the Court. She has voted with plaintiffs in 26 cases and voted against plaintiffs 14 times. In 2018 and 2019, she voted for plaintiffs in 14 of 17 cases.

In this post, we’re concluding our review of the Justices’ voting records in civil constitutional law cases. Since taking her seat, Justice Kruger has participated 16 civil constitutional law cases. She has voted for defendants seven times and for plaintiffs in nine cases. This includes voting for defendants in four of five cases in 2019.
